The Nera Saturn Bm provides the heart that powers the communications services
between a ship and the outside world. It communicates via Inmarsat-B, the efficient,
all-digital and global Inmarsat system that support telephone and telefax services,
telex and Internet and LAN access, as well as the emergency services required
for deep-sea and passenger ships. The Nera Saturn Bm consists of a sensor-stabilised
antenna above decks and an electronics unit and its peripherals below decks,
usually on the bridge of a vessel.
